Voltage Divider
Two resistors split a voltage: Vout = Vin·R2/(R1+R2). Keep the divider current well above whatever the output feeds, or the load will drag the output down.

Unloaded ideal divider. A load in parallel with R2 lowers the output — make the divider current ≥10× the load current.
