Injection Moulding (Shot & Cooling)
Two numbers drive a moulding cycle: the shot size (part + runners, which must fit the barrel) and the cooling time, which scales with the square of wall thickness and usually dominates the cycle.

Halving the wall quarters the cooling time — thinning thick sections is the single biggest cycle-time win. Diffusivity is ~1×10⁻⁷ m²/s for most thermoplastics.
