Motion Profile
A point-to-point move accelerates, may cruise, then decelerates. If the move is too short to reach the velocity limit the profile degenerates to a triangle and never reaches it — which is what most short indexing moves actually do, and why measured cycle times beat the naive distance ÷ velocity estimate.

Units are whatever you enter consistently (m and m/s², or mm and mm/s²). Real drives add jerk limiting, which lengthens the move slightly and is much kinder to the mechanics.
