O-Ring Groove Designer
An O-ring seals by being squeezed in its groove. Aim for roughly 15–30% squeeze (higher for static, lower for dynamic to limit friction) and 60–85% gland fill so the ring has room to move when it swells or the groove floods. Cross-section (CS) and all dims in mm.

Keep installed ID stretch under ~5% (typical 1–3%) so the seal doesn't thin or over-tension.
First-pass gland geometry — confirm against the seal maker's design chart (e.g. Parker O-Ring Handbook) for your application. A helper, not a substitute for engineering judgment.
